Conferences



		There are many conferences held every year throughout the United States and abroad. Many are simply one-day events sponsored by a CF clinic. Three of the more widely known conferences include: Florida Cystic Fibrosis, Inc. sponsors a one-day, annual conference, usually held in September, for CF affected families and adults. (CFRI) sponsors a two-day conference, usually held in August or September, for CF affected families and adults. For more information, contact CFRI, 560 San Antonio Road, Suite 103, Palo Alto, CA 94306-4349. Phone: 415-856-0546. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation sponsors the North American CF Conference. Held annually in October in various cities throughout North America, this multi-day conference attracts over 2,400 clinicians from around the world (1997 conference in Nashville, maybe Seattle for 1998). The CFF also sponsors an annual by-invitation only conference in Williamsburg, VA to discuss its research agenda. Internationally, IACFA holds international conferences every two years and an annual general meeting, mini-conferences every year.
